More about collagen
Hydrolyzed collagen from cattle consists of a combination of concentrated amino acids that can contribute to healing better than other types of protein, especially of skeleton and joints. Inside on an empty stomach, this low molecular connective tissue protein from the intestine is already consumed after a few minutes. It does not clump because it is hydrolyzed with a view to rapid uptake and increased hydration of connective tissue. Collagen is important for the nitrogen balance and is considered an anti -age product because it counteracts age -related damage to cartilage and loss of collagen. Storfearers in the areas Cordoba, Rosario and Mendoza in Argentina traditionally raise cattle by letting them grass in flocks on natural grasslands (Pampas). Rigorous tests of independent laboratories have never detected either insecticides, chemical pesticides, steroids, antibiotics or hormones in our collagen or gelatin. Great Lakes Kollagen is conducting research on how collagen affects diseases such as osteoarthritis (osteoarthritis) and osteoporosis (osteoporosis), as well as known and potential effects of collagen on cartilage, tendons and skeletons. Up to 30% of all the body's proteins are collagen, and up to 70% of the proteins in connective tissue consist of collagen. In the body there are both type I, II and III collagen, all with different molecular weight. Regardless of the type digested, it is broken down to free amino acids, peptides (short amino acid chains) and some polypeptides (longer amino acid chains) using enzymes in the gut. There are no scientific evidence that type III is better than type I.
