Understanding Carbon Dioxide Therapy
Carbon dioxide therapy, also known as CO2 therapy, involves the use of carbon dioxide gas to improve cellular health and overall well-being. The therapy works by increasing oxygen delivery to the cells, enhancing blood flow, and promoting healing and rejuvenation. While traditionally administered through injections, the BodyStream takes a unique approach by allowing the absorption of CO2 through the skin.
Introducing the BodyStream
The BodyStream is a state-of-the-art system that envelops the entire body, up to the neck, in carbon dioxide gas. Unlike traditional therapies, the BodyStream uses a vacuum-pumping mechanism to remove all air from the suit before filling it with 100% carbon dioxide. This carbon dioxide is then absorbed through the skin, opening up blood vessels and providing a range of potential health benefits.

The Physiology of Carbon Dioxide Therapy
To understand how carbon dioxide therapy works, it's essential to delve into the physiological mechanisms at play. Carbon dioxide plays a crucial role in oxygen delivery to the cells and vital organs. It not only releases oxygen from hemoglobin but also pulls oxygen into the cells, vasodilates for increased blood flow, decreases capillary resistance, and improves waste product removal.
The Bohr Effect, a phenomenon in which oxygen loses its affinity for hemoglobin in the presence of carbon dioxide, allows nearby cells to utilize oxygen more efficiently. This increased oxygen utilization leads to the production of more energy within the cells. Additionally, carbon dioxide therapy has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, inhibit reactive oxygen species generation, and increase the NAD+/NADH ratio, which is vital for cellular energy production.
Furthermore, carbon dioxide therapy affects the storage and distribution of CO2 in the body. Studies have shown that carbon dioxide can be stored in the bones and that the body can store up to 120 liters of CO2, mostly as bicarbonate. CO2 also acts as a Lewis Acid, restoring a healthy oxidative metabolism by withdrawing electrons from excited protons. It streams sodium and calcium out of the cells and contributes to the structured jelly-like state of the cells.
Using the BodyStream
To reap the benefits of carbon dioxide therapy, individuals can utilize the BodyStream. This innovative system allows for easy and convenient bathing in an environment of 100% CO2. The BodyStream carbon dioxide bath involves vacuuming out all the air from the suit and then filling it with 100% carbon dioxide to the desired fullness and pressure. When you deliver more oxygen and nutrients to the cell it is able to thrive by creating more energy to allow for greater functioning healing. The basics of how carbon dioxide works in the body: Carbon dioxide is necessary for oxygen to be delivered to the cells and vital organs. It not only released oxygen from the hemoglobin but also pulls oxygen into the cells, vasodilates for increased blood flow, decreases capillary resistance and mproves removal of waste products. Oxygen delivery to the cells is necessary to create ATP which is essentially cellular energy. With oxygen there are 36 ATP generated from glucose. Without oxygen your cells are not able to generate much energy at only 2 ATP. There have been many studies showing that carbon dioxide delivered the appropriate many can decrease hypoxia. Hypoxia means areas where they is lack of oxygen. Through a variety of mechanisms CO2 lowers hypoxia and increases the use of oxygen within the cells allowing you to energize and rejuvenate.

BODY STREAM OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The inflation gun, after pressing the button, you need to make sure it releases fully otherwise CO2 will leak into the room. We test all of the inflation guns before sending, but always make sure to check. Always Turn the Tank Off After Filling. Make sure to put the neck seal over you head similar to this picture. It is possible they can break if you are not careful with them.
Also if you have a really small neck, we will send an extra neck seal to go over the current neck seal after it’s already on or you can replace it with the smaller one. We are also working on a new neck solution that can accommodate any sized necks that we will have available in the future. In the rare instance you need to replace the neck seal, here is a video showing you how to do it.
BodyStream Safety Guidelines
Check for leaks at all connections in the system. This includes:
Where the regulator connects to the CO2 tank
Where the blue coiled hose attaches to the regulator
Where the inflation gun connects to the blue coiled hose.
This can be done by listening to the sound of air leaking or using a spray bottle with soapy water. If there is a leak you will see small bubbles appears where the leak is located.
Do not store your CO2 tank in an area where the temperature exceeds 125F (51.7 C). Excessively hot temperatures will increase the pressure inside the tank. All tanks have a safety relief valve if the pressure gets too high. Make sure to turn the tank off when the CO2 tank is not in use filling the BodyStream.
Check the neck seal to make sure it is tight enough, so that no CO2 leaks from the neck.
Make sure the zipper is pulled down all the way completely. The last part of the zipper requires extra effort to pull it over the looped end.
Sub: If the zipper is difficult to move or close, please add the TiZip lubricant included with the suit. If you run out of TiZip lubricant please contact customer support.
Make sure the room has good ventilation.
After the session you can open the BodyStream suit and the CO2 can be released into the room. The amount of CO2 contained in the suit is not enough to significantly change the volume of CO2 in the room to dangerous levels.
Do not put your head in the BodyStream suit until you open the suit and the CO2 is removed by airing it out.
Recommended Usage
It is recommended to use the BodyStream for 30 to 60 minutes per session, 3 to 5 times per week.
Handle the neck seal with care and do not wear any kind of jewelry, watches etc. as this can damage the neck seal and cause it to break.
Even though CO2 can easily go through clothing, it is recommended to wear as minimal clothing as possible.
To clean the BodyStream turn the suit inside out and use a steam cleaner or spray with a cleaning solution and wash with a hand towel.
If the neck seal is too large it can be replaced with the small size. If the large size is too tight the neck seal can be trimmed to make it more comfortable.
Drink purifed hydrogenwater after the BodyStream session.
For enhanced effect you can do things that opens up the blood circulation to the skin before going into the BodyStream bath, like doing physical activity, take a warm or cold shower. Another tip is to lay on a heat matress and even better a full spectrumn infrared sauna and/or far infrared therapy.
CO2 Tank Safety
CO2 cylinder pressure is about 860psi at normal room temperature.
Typical CO2 cylinders store about 20lbs of liquid CO2. 2lbs of liquid CO2 expand to about 20 cubic feet of pure CO2 gas at atmospheric temperature. It expands at a rate of 535:1.
CO2 is heavier than air so it will fill low areas first. If there is little air circulation, pools of CO2 can build up and exist for hours. So good room ventilation is important.
