Preparations for the measurement session at the Clinic for Integrative Medicine

What is Integrative Medicine?
Integrative medicine combines school medicine with complementary/alternative medicine to provide a holistic approach to health. At our clinic, we use methods that have been scientifically documented with regard to both safety and effectiveness. The Clinic for Integrative Medicine uses modern, medically CE-approved electromedical devices that promote the body's natural healing processes. The measurements we carry out aim to identify underlying causes of health problems, and we look at the body from a holistic perspective. It is crucial to find the source of imbalances (e.g. low cell potential) in order to initiate an effective treatment.

How can you get the most out of your measurement session?
Some clients spend a lot of time and energy during the measurement talking about the past or going into technical details. This can prevent you from getting the full benefit of the measurements. Instead, focus on the present - we will ask you if we need further information. Remember that we as therapists need the technical details to give you the best possible treatment and recommendations, and you will get the summary towards the end of the class. Sit back and accept - the future starts here!

What does the measuring hour entail?
A measurement session usually lasts 2–3 hours and often includes five different measurements, two trial treatments, an introductory diet and suggestions for dietary supplements. We also recommend electromedical treatment which can help strengthen the body's electrical potential, which often leads to faster recovery.

How to prepare for the measuring session?
To get the most accurate measurement results, there are a few things you should keep in mind:

  • Avoid heavy physical exertion or hard training in the last 48 hours before the class.
  • If possible, avoid taking medicines that affect the nervous system, hormonal balance, heart rate or blood pressure (consult your doctor if you are in doubt).
  • Dietary supplements are unproblematic, but avoid coffee and adaptogens on the same day.
  • Feel free to eat breakfast, but leave at least two hours before you arrive, and drink plenty of water.
  • Before the class, you fill out some forms, which can take up to 30 minutes.

Prepare the body for the measurements
We measure, among other things, electrical activity in the body, HRV (heart rhythm variation), and levels of heavy metals and minerals in the cells. To ensure accurate measurements, cut your fingernails, wash your hands and feet thoroughly, and avoid creams on your hands and forearms on the day of treatment. We have to wait 15 minutes after the last hand wash before the measurements can start.
