Service and troubleshooting instructions for Uno Vita hydrogen water bottles

The hydrogen water bottles from Uno Vita are advanced health tools that give the best effect when they are maintained regularly. To ensure the best possible performance and service life, we recommend a simple service procedure at first use and then approx. once a month – depending on the water quality. If you use purified water from our water filtration systems, the need for service will normally be lower.

Regular service procedure and startup
Follow this procedure before first use and preferably monthly as needed:

  1. Check that the bottle is empty and correctly fitted. Make sure there is no plastic or silicone sheath protecting the electrode at the bottom.

  2. Check the battery level. Charge the bottle for at least 2 hours before use to ensure a full charge.

  3. Prepare purified hot water. Boil purified water and let it cool down to below 70 °C.

  4. Make a cleaning mixture. Fill the bottle half full with the hot water and add 2-3 tablespoons of pure unflavored vinegar, or a little citric acid.

  5. Let the cleaning mixture work. Leave for approx. 30 minutes. Then rinse the bottle thoroughly.

  6. Activate the electrodes. Fill the bottle with hot water again (only water this time) and start hydrogen production. Repeat the process one more time to activate the electrodes.

  7. Prepare for regular use. Empty the bottle, rinse well, then fill with clean, purified water up to below the maximum mark. Start hydrogen production and drink the water shortly after production - then it contains the most free molecular hydrogen.

This procedure helps to remove mineral deposits, activate the electrodes and ensure the best possible function over time.

Important maintenance tip
The bottle must never be stored completely empty. Always leave some water in the bottle - this protects the electrodes and membrane from drying out and damage. Dry electrodes can cause mineral residues to solidify and block the system. If the bottle seems sluggish or does not produce hydrogen as normal, steps 1-7 above can often solve the problem.

Troubleshooting in the event of a malfunction
Most bottles have a long life, but certain problems can still occur. Here are common mistakes and what you can do:

  1. The bottle does not charge or does not start. First check the charging cable. Cables can break after a lot of use. Try another mobile charger. Some car chargers provide too low a voltage to charge the bottle effectively. Change the charging cable and charger before you conclude that the bottle or battery is defective. Tip: After a longer break in use, the bottle should be fully charged and then undergo the complete service procedure (points 1-7).

  2. The battery is weak. With very frequent use over a long period of time, the battery may wear out. This may also mean that the electrodes and membrane are well used. In such cases, it may be more appropriate to replace the entire bottle, as replacing individual components rarely pays off.
