The objective behind the establishment of Uno Vita and the Clinic for Integrative Medicine
Uno Vita AS started the Clinic for Integrative Medicine in 2010 with one main purpose: to help people with health problems who feel they are not receiving sufficient help elsewhere. Uno Vita distributes health-promoting products in order to provide high-quality supplements and equipment to home users and clients who want high quality and good results. Today, this is an independent business, and the company offers up to 400 effective health-promoting products, including in its online store: shop.unovita.com. The company primarily supplies goods to retailers and clinics in Norway, but is currently expanding to neighboring countries. In the beginning, product deliveries were a support service for clients at the clinic who could not find equivalent products in Norway.

The Clinic for Integrative Medicine focuses on the whole person and a holistic approach to good health. We use electromedical treatment equipment with documented effectiveness that is CE-approved, combined with advice on health-promoting nutrition, dietary supplements, and lifestyle changes. This provides (most often) constructive synergistic effects and generally improved health. We focus on your body’s functional state. One example of a function is the body’s need to be able to eliminate waste products effectively (this requires good kidney and liver function, among other things). When waste and toxins accumulate in the body, this places a burden on overall health. Another function is digestion. If it does not work, “nothing works,” something most of us know very well.

What is our definition of integrative medicine? By integrative medicine, we mean a combination of conventional medicine and complementary/alternative medicine. The clinic uses methods for which there is scientific documentation of safety and effectiveness. The Clinic for Integrative Medicine uses modern, medical CE-approved electromedical devices that support the body’s natural healing. The measurements that are performed are intended to uncover the causes of health problems from a holistic perspective. It is essential to find the root/cause of the problems (for example, why the voltage is low).

A typical client is a person with multiple health issues (often chronic). Many clients often feel that the conventional medical healthcare system offers them limited and insufficiently holistic support, and therefore they seek help elsewhere. They often find that the doctor or hospital does not share the view that nutrition, dietary supplements, vitamins, exercise, and effective electro-medical treatment have been shown to be able to improve health for many people. We also achieve good results with pain conditions and minor injuries that do not require surgery, and with people who want to optimize their health or think preventively. Integrative medicine is also an excellent support for those who want to avoid injuries and burnout.

Electro-medical treatment is an essential treatment principle we offer all clients. This can be explained simply as follows: All the cells in the body have a charge (electrical potential). The cells in our body can be compared to batteries that store "current." The ability to transport nutrients, minerals, and other charged particles depends on there being power in the battery. If the voltage is low, the function of the cell becomes poorer. By stimulating the cell membranes and ion movements (charged particles), the exchange of substances can be stimulated (including the important sodium-potassium pump). The cells' ability to communicate, repair themselves, and build new cells improves when the charge is correct. A typical effect of the treatment (and one of the first things you notice) is often a reduction in pain.

Electro-medical treatment is closely aligned with nature's own therapy. In nature, we are exposed to health-promoting sunlight, natural electromagnetic fields from the earth, negatively charged ions in the air, and more. These are electromagnetic phenomena.

So what does the term electro-medical treatment mean? By this we mean a treatment that strengthens and improves the body's properties, and that has proven highly effective in many areas. It sounds mysterious, but let us, for example, think about red and infrared light therapy. This is a spectrum of light (electromagnetic radiation) from the sun that has no harmful effects. Results from NASA's basic research up to the present day show that this type of light therapy may contribute to better blood circulation, less pain, improved energy production (increased ATP production), better heart function, and more. Another form of electro-medical treatment is various forms of pulsed electromagnetic field therapy (abbreviated PEMF). Classic PEMF has documented good effects on musculoskeletal complaints, provides better blood circulation, reduces pain, contributes to increased energy production, and much more.

NeoRhythm is an exciting device that is used, among other things, to reduce stress. The device belongs to the wellness category and has been shown to be effective in reducing stress (generally producing results after 16 minutes of use), improving sleep, and more, and it is a variant of PEMF called rTMS (transcranial magnetic stimulation). In the well-known medical database PubMed (used by conventional medical practitioners and others), you can find more than 10,000 studies showing good effects of this technology.

The clinic has 5–6 different electromedical devices that we can use in a holistic treatment approach with good general effects. These include light therapy, a full-spectrum infrared sauna, PEMF, ion induction therapy, microcurrents, and more. Some of the professional devices are expensive and are therefore best suited for clinics. Uno Vita AS supplies more affordable, effective, and simple devices for home use.

Electromedical treatment has been shown to be safe, without side effects for most of us. There are a small number of contraindications for which this form of treatment is not recommended; we of course provide information about them.

Limitations of our practice. In Norway, only authorized healthcare professionals working in accordance with the Norwegian Directorate of Health's guidelines are permitted to treat serious illness. Klinikk for integrert medisin does not offer any treatment for serious illnesses. Nor do we offer treatment to people who are seriously ill and who therefore should and ought to be cared for by the healthcare system. If you suspect that you may be seriously ill, you should always contact a doctor.
