Prosta-Check® – Home test for PSA (Prostate-specific antigen)
🧪 Prosta-Check® is a CE-marked, clinically validated rapid test that makes it easy and discreet for men over 45-50 years of age to measure the PSA level at home with just one drop of blood from the finger. The test indicates whether the PSA value exceeds the normal limit of 4 ng/ml, an important marker for prostate enlargement, prostatitis or possible prostate cancer. Early detection gives a significantly better prognosis, and both Norwegian and European urological professional communities recommend regular PSA screening from the age of 50 (or earlier if there is a family history). With Prosta-Check® you get an answer in 10 minutes, without a doctor's visit and without waiting time.
Brief description
Prosta-Check® is a simple and reliable PSA self-test for home use. A positive result (> 4 ng/ml) means that a doctor should be contacted for further investigation. The test has an accuracy of > 87%, is CE-IVD approved and is used by healthcare professionals all over Europe.
Health effects
Prosta-Check® is a diagnostic tool, not a dietary supplement. It helps with early detection of changes in the prostate's physiological state, which in turn may indicate a need for medical follow-up.
• 🔍 Early screening for prostate health: Provides the opportunity to detect abnormalities before symptoms occur.
• 👨👦 Family history follow-up: Extra useful for men at increased risk.
• 🕒 Fast and discreet use: Test at home, get an answer in 10 minutes and reduce unnecessary worry.
No EFSA-approved health claims apply, as this is a medical test tool.
Top 2 main features
• 🎯 Detection of elevated PSA (> 4 ng/ml) with monoclonal antibodies for high precision.
• 📊 Supports annual screening for men aged 50–75 and provides better insight into the prostate's development over time.
A surprising or lesser-known health effect
🔎 PSA can increase temporarily after cycling, ejaculation or prostate manipulation — therefore the test should be taken at the right time interval to avoid false positives. Many do not know this.
