Mission 3-in-1 Cholesterol Test Strips (x5)
Mission 3-in-1 Cholesterol Test Strips (x5) has been reordered and will be shipped as soon as it is back in stock.
Mission 3-in-1 cholesterol test strips are a CE-marked diagnostic aid for rapid measurement of lipid profile at home or in a clinic. Each strip is used with the Mission 3-in-1 cholesterol meter and provides measurement of total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and cholesterol ratio in less than one minute. The set contains 5 test strips, 5 lancets and 5 capillaries. The product is clinically validated, CE-IVD marked and manufactured in accordance with ISO 13485, which makes it relevant both for private individuals who monitor their own cardiovascular health and for professional use.
Short description
Mission 3-in-1 cholesterol test strips measure total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and ratio from a small finger blood sample. Compared to simpler home tests that only show total cholesterol, this solution provides a broader lipid profile and a better basis for following changes over time.
Health effects
The test strips provide a quick overview of key lipid markers, which can support better follow-up of metabolic health and cardiovascular risk. This is a diagnostic tool and not a treatment. No EFSA-approved health claims apply to the product.
- Measures five key values from one test strip: total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and ratio
- Results in less than 1 minute with typical accuracy of approximately ±5 to 10% against laboratory values
- Only requires approximately 35 µL of blood from the fingertip
- Suitable for home use, trend analysis and follow-up in practice
- CE-IVD certified and manufactured under the ISO 13485 standard
Top 2 main features
The main advantage is that you get a full lipid profile from a single test strip. In addition, it provides quick home monitoring, which can be useful for lifestyle changes, follow-up of diet, physical activity or dialogue with a doctor about cholesterol values.
A surprising or lesser known effect
Triglycerides can rise significantly after meals, especially after a high intake of carbohydrates or alcohol. Therefore, a fasting test for 8 to 12 hours is recommended for the most comparable and precise results possible.
Technical details and specifications
Mission 3-in-1 test strips use electrochemical biosensor technology and are only used with a compatible Mission 3-in-1 cholesterol meter. The measurement ranges are among the widest in this product category: total cholesterol 150 to 600 mg/dL, HDL 15 to 120 mg/dL, LDL 50 to 300 mg/dL and triglycerides 50 to 800 mg/dL. The result is displayed within 1 minute. Storage is 2 to 30 °C, and shelf life is 18 months. Certifications include CE-IVD and ISO 13485. SKU: P-MTES-05SP.
Grant facts
Not relevant. These are diagnostic test strips and not a dietary supplement.
Ingredients list
Not relevant in the traditional sense. The strips contain electrochemical enzymes and membrane materials developed for the measurement of lipids in finger blood.
Recommended use
Fast 8 to 12 hours before testing. Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before sampling. Insert a new strip into the meter so that it calibrates automatically. Using the lancet, collect blood with the capillary and apply the sample to the strip. The result is displayed in less than a minute. For users who follow development over time, the values can be recorded in the app for trend analysis.
Result interpretation
General reference points are: total cholesterol optimally below 200 mg/dL and high at 240 mg/dL or more. HDL is often considered optimal at 60 mg/dL or higher, and low below 40 mg/dL for men and below 50 mg/dL for women. LDL is often considered optimal below 100 mg/dL and high at 160 mg/dL or more. Triglycerides are usually optimal below 150 mg/dL. The ratio between total cholesterol and HDL is often considered favorable below 3.5 and high above 5. In the event of deviations or unexpected results, follow-up with a doctor and possibly a laboratory test are recommended.
Questions and answers
The test strips work by enzyme reactions in the strip creating electrical signals that the meter translates into lipid values. The best time for testing is fasting, preferably in the morning. Sources of error can be non-fasting sample, too little blood, dirty fingers or expired strips. Control liquid should be used regularly for quality assurance.
Reservation
For adult users. Not intended as a medical diagnosis alone. Laboratory confirmation may be necessary in the event of unexpected or persistent deviations. Keep out of the reach of children. Pregnant, lactating women and people using drugs that affect lipids should consult a doctor before interpreting results.
