Cintropur NW25 DUO 3/4″–1″ (FWCCDUO250) – Whole-House Dual Filter With Refillable Carbon (supplied with 5 µm filter sleeve)

Summary
Cintropur NW25 DUO is a compact, two-stage house filter for the whole home that combines mechanical particle filtration (centrifugal "cyclone" pre-filtration + filter sleeve) with a refillable active chamber (CTN) for taste, odor and chemical micro-faults. Comes standard with 5 µm filter sleeve ("strainer"), transparent bowl for visual inspection, drain tap for quick rinsing and 3/4" and 1" thread options for easy integration. Constructed in drinking water-approved, robust synthetic material for low pressure drop and high operational reliability in Norwegian conditions.

Advantages and areas of use
NW25 DUO protects the entire sanitary network by removing soil, sand, rust and floating substances before the water passes on to boilers, mixer taps, white goods or additional technologies. The centrifugal vane creates a cyclone effect that precipitates coarser particles to the bottom of the bowl, while the 5 µm sleeve captures fine sediments. The CTN chamber is filled with activated carbon (coconut-based recommended) to reduce chlorine, odor/taste and selected organic microfaults (e.g. pesticide residues). The result is clearer, more pleasant water for showering, cooking and taps in one and the same unit. Suitable for municipal water, rainwater after pre-filtration, well and spring water with a light particle load in homes, small commercial buildings and agriculture.

Main features (top 2) and a useful bonus

  1. Centrifugal pre-filtration with fine filtering sleeve
NW25 DUO reduces sediment load into pipes and fittings, which can contribute to smoother flow and less need for service in the system over time.

  2. Refillable activated charcoal stage (CTN) for taste and smell
The refillable carbon chamber provides a long service life and low running costs. Lower water velocity often results in better contact/adsorption time and thus a better sensory experience in the taps.

Surprisingly useful effect: Visual control and fast service
Transparent bowl makes it easy to "see" when the sleeve should be changed, and integrated drainage facilitates rinsing under pressure. This makes maintenance quick and clean - practical in busy homes and for cottage use.

Technical details and specifications
• Connections: Supplied with 3/4″ and 1″ thread options (DN20/DN25).
• Configuration: Two chambers – mechanical filter (cyclone + sleeve) followed by CTN chamber for activated carbon.
• Standard fineness on delivery: 5 µm filter sleeve (can be changed to other finenesses if required).
• Filter sleeves (available): Non-washable 1–5–10–25–50–100 µm; washable 150–300 µm.
• Recommended area of use: Clear to lightly contaminated water (municipal, rainwater after pre-treatment, well/spring).
• Transparent bowl: Continuous visual inspection of casing and deposited sediment.
• Drain tap: 1/4″ (NW series) for flushing under pressure.
• CTN volume: 0.57 liters (refillable cartridge).
• Materials in contact with water: Suitable for drinking water, high-quality synthetics (filter head in polypropylene with glass fibre; bowl in PET; gaskets in NBR).
• Pressure and temperature: Working pressure 10 bar (max 16 bar), max water temperature 50 °C.
• Flow: High flow and low pressure drop for a DUO house; real capacity depends on the selected sleeve, water quality and filling in the CTN chamber.
• Mounting: Wall mounting is recommended, with free height under the unit corresponding to the length of the filter for easy servicing.
• Maintenance: Change/clean/rinse sleeve if visible soiling or approx. 1 bar differential pressure across the filter. Top up/replace activated carbon after consumption (typically 3–4 times per year for continuous household use).
• Compatibility: Can be combined in series with softeners, UV sterilization, reverse osmosis or other Cintropur housings.
