Grounding underlay in Stainless Steel 316L from Groundology is made for you who want a grounding product that lasts a long time, feels comfortable and works stably over time. Instead of silver wire, this substrate uses high-quality 316L stainless steel fiber as the conductive element. Stainless steel has been chosen because it has very good material stability and does not oxidize in the same way as silver-based textiles. This means that the substrate has been developed to maintain good conductivity through many years of use, wash after wash.
The fabric consists of a proprietary blend of ultra-fine stainless steel fibers, cotton and polyester. The result is a grey, elegant and durable surface with a clean, firm and linen-like textile feel. It is easily used under a regular sheet made of natural fibres, such as cotton, linen or bamboo, and fits seamlessly into your usual sleep routine with no visible equipment in bed.
Stable grounding with 30% 316L stainless steel
The substrate contains 30% stainless steel fibre. This provides a good balance between conductivity, durability and comfort. The grounding pad is connected to earth via the included cable and earth connection, so that the body can come into contact with the earth's electrical reference point while you are resting or sleeping. During normal use, no electrical current passes through the substrate - it is only connected to earth.
Grounding is also known as earthing or grounding. Published research has investigated how ground contact can affect sleep, stress response, cortisol rhythm, recovery, blood viscosity, heart rate variability and physiological balance. The results are promising, but should be understood as support for well-being and sleep routines, not as treatment for illness.
Fits all beds
The grounding pad measures 300 cm × 90 cm, with a conductive area of 200 cm × 90 cm and approximately 50 cm of pull-up on each side. It can be placed across the lower part of the mattress or lengthwise for one person. Body weight and natural moisture from the skin contribute to conductive contact through the top sheet. The base can also be used directly against the skin, but this is not recommended in case of nickel allergy or nickel sensitivity, since stainless steel contains nickel.
Everything you need is included
The set includes a stainless steel earthing pad, 4.6 m connection cable and selected earth connection for Norway, Denmark and most EU countries. A solid connection button is located near the edge of the base for easy mounting. Where product or shipping information mentions Denmark, this also applies to Norway and most EU countries when the same earth connection and delivery area are relevant.

Washing and maintenance
Regular washing is recommended because it removes sweat, skin oils and residues from the textile and helps to keep the conductivity optimal. Wash every one to two weeks with regular use. Machine wash at 40 °C with liquid detergent. Dry on a line or in a tumble dryer at low heat, maximum 65 °C. Can be ironed at a low temperature. Do not use bleach, fabric softener, dryer sheets or chemical cleaners. Fabric softener can form a coating on the conductive fibers and reduce conductivity.
