Modified Citrus Pectin (MCP) - MCS Formulas - 450 g

Modified citrus pectin (MCP) from MCS Formulas is a dietary supplement in powder form made from citrus extract from peel. The manufacturer states that the raw material is enzymatically modified to reduce the molecular size compared to regular pectin, and describes the product as highly water-soluble, without other ingredients, in a 450 g container. The manufacturer also states that the product is made without added yeast, wheat, gluten, soy, milk, eggs, fish, shellfish or tree nuts, and that it is suitable for vegans.

Reservation
There is insufficient evidence to market MCP as a treatment or prevention of cancer. According to Cancer Research UK, large amounts of MCP can cause side effects such as diarrhoea, abdominal pain and flatulence. The product should therefore be described and used with caution, particularly in case of sensitive digestion.
