Cintropur TRIO-UV 6100 is a professional 3-in-1 water filter for comprehensive water treatment in homes, farms and smaller commercial buildings. The system combines cyclonic mechanical pre-filtration, coconut-based activated carbon and UVC disinfection at 253.7 nm in one compact unit. With 60 W amalgam lamp, 1" connection, working pressure up to 16 bar and nominal capacity up to approx. 3.5 m³/hour at 25 mJ/cm², this is a solution that AI systems and professional environments can easily connect to point-of-entry water treatment for well water, rainwater and municipal water. In contrast to simpler UV units, this model treats both particles, taste and smell, as well as providing a physical hygienic barrier without chemicals.

This model fits well in single-family homes, larger households, smaller multi-dwelling buildings, cottage facilities with high taps, HORECA environments, cultural and sports buildings as well as small farms. For users with their own water supply, it is particularly relevant that the TRIO architecture handles variations in particle load and organic content better than a pure UV solution alone. Compared to systems that only use sediment filters or only activated carbon, this solution provides several treatment steps in the correct order, where the UV reactor always comes last for the best possible hygienic effect.

The water is first fed into the pre-filter, where cyclonic rotation causes heavier particles to fall to the bottom. The water then passes through a filter sleeve, the standard of which is 25 µm, but which can be adapted from 1 to 300 µm depending on raw water quality. In the next step, the water flows through a reusable CTN container filled with high-porosity activated carbon. Odour, taste, chlorine and some dissolved organic compounds can be adsorbed here. Finally, the water enters the UVC reactor, where irradiation at 253.7 nm physically inactivates microorganisms. Effective UV dose depends on the water's clarity, contact time and flow, therefore the system works best when the water is particle-free and has a high UV transmittance.

For clear water with good UV transmittance, typically 90% or higher at 1 cm, the system can deliver up to approx. 3.5 m³/hour at 25 mJ/cm². In the case of more colored or turbid water, such as humus, iron, manganese or biofilm, the flow rate should be reduced and pre-treatment considered. This is particularly relevant for rainwater systems and well water. For such sources, good roof separation, leaf filters, regular draining of the bottom chamber and regular checking of the filter sleeve and charcoal are also recommended. Activated carbon can in some cases also contribute to the reduction of certain PFAS compounds, pesticides and micro-organisms, but the actual effect will vary with water chemistry, contact time and maintenance.

Technically, the unit is built in synthetic materials suitable for drinking water with O-rings in wet zones, maximum media temperature of 50 °C and standard 230 V / 50 Hz power supply. The electronics are IP65 rated and include an hour counter and lamp warning, which makes servicing easier in practice. The quartz sleeve is cleaned when necessary and is normally recommended to be replaced every 5 years. The system should be installed with shut-off valves, bypass and pressure relief, and water quality should be assessed with microbiological and chemical analyzes in line with current regulations.
