Uno Vita's Mercian Professional Red Light Therapy Bed Panel M2 Plus is the latest generation foldable red light bed based on Merican's updated M2 platform (2025). Wavelengths and biophysical properties
M2 Plus uses five carefully composed wavelengths that cover a wide range of biophysical processes – from the skin's surface to deeper tissue structures. The effect of light is always dose dependent and is affected by intensity, exposure time, distance and individual response.

633 nm (red light) works primarily in the epidermis and upper dermis and is used in wellness routines for skin renewal, smoother skin tone and support for the skin's natural regeneration processes, including via improved microcirculation and cellular signaling.

660 nm (red light) is one of the most studied bands in photobiomodulation. This wavelength is efficiently absorbed in the mitochondria, particularly via cytochrome c-oxidase, and is associated with support for cellular energy production (ATP), collagen-related processes and general tissue function.

810 nm (near-infrared light) marks the transition to deeper tissue penetration. This band is often used in routines aimed at muscles, joints and connective tissue, and is associated with bioenergetic balance, recovery and support for deeper tissue structures.
