Babycheck-1® WB – rapid blood test for early detection of hCG (pregnancy)

Babycheck-1® WB is a fast, user-friendly and sensitive self-test that has been developed to measure hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) in a small drop of whole blood from the fingertip. The test is CE-marked and based on the same immunological method used in laboratories and clinics. Because hCG first occurs in the blood and is later excreted in the urine, this blood test can detect pregnancy earlier than traditional urine tests. The test gives an answer in 5-10 minutes and can indicate whether the hCG level is above or below 25 IU/L.

Health benefits
• 💗 Quick indication of whether hCG is present in the blood at a level ≥ 25 IU/L
• 🩸 Earlier possible detection than urine-based tests - often several days earlier
• 🔎 Lesser known advantage: The result is not affected by fluid intake (urine can be diluted, while hCG in blood is not affected in the same way)

Technical details and specifications
Babycheck-1® WB is an immunochromatographic test (lateral flow) for home use:
• Analyte: hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin)
• Test format: Rapid test for capillary whole blood
• Sensitivity: Detects hCG at ≥ 25 IU/L (measured against WHO standard)
• Interpretation of results:
– Positive: Two lines (T + C)
– Negative: Only one line (C)
– Invalid: No C line
• Test time: Read the result within 5–10 minutes (do not interpret after 10 minutes)
• Sampling: Finger prick with included lancet
• Sample volume: A small drop of blood via pipette (capillary effect)
• Reagents: Diluent in dropper bottle (4 drops at 2–3 second intervals)
• Storage: In original packaging, dry and at the recommended temperature
• Single-use test: Used once and thrown away
• Certification: CE marked rapid test for private screening

Label information
The package typically contains:
• 1 × test cassette
• 1 × plastic pipette
• 1 × lancet for finger prick
• 1 × bottle of diluent
• 1 × instructions for use

Area of use: Indication of the hCG level in capillary blood in case of possible pregnancy.
Target group: People who want early and simple screening at home.
Recommendation: In the event of a positive test, it is recommended to contact a GP, midwife or gynaecologist.
