Withaferin A Pro Liposomal - 60 Capsules - MCS Formulas
Dietary supplement with ashwagandha extract and pro-liposomal technology
Note! Delivered only by appointment with a doctor!
Withaferin A Pro Liposomal from MCS Formulas is an advanced dietary supplement that delivers 50 mg of withaferin A per capsule, extracted from ashwagandha (Withania somnifera). The product uses LongLifeLipoTech®, an innovative pro-liposomal technology that combines phospholipids from organic sunflower lecithin and vegan chitosan. This increases bioavailability and contributes to gentle and effective absorption in the body. The capsules are vegan, free of additives, gluten, lactose and GMOs, and are supplied in dark glass for better stability and durability.
This dietary supplement is only available for use under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional due to its strength and composition.
Health benefits
Withaferin A is a steroidal lactone (withanolide) with a long tradition in Ayurvedic herbal medicine. Although no health claims for withaferin A have been approved by EFSA or FDA, laboratory and animal studies show that it can support several natural processes in the body. Based on preliminary research, the following characteristics are mentioned:
-
Contributes to protecting cells from oxidative stress through antioxidant mechanisms
-
Supports normal energy turnover and general metabolism
-
Can help maintain healthy cell function via the influence of transcription pathways
-
Can support normal functioning of the nervous system according to models with neuronal cells
-
Can promote bone and joint health by interacting with structural proteins
These effects are based on preclinical data and not confirmed through controlled clinical trials in humans. The product is therefore only sold for general well-being and not as a treatment for disease.
Main features and surprising effect
The two best-documented functions of withaferin A are support for cellular protection against oxidative stress and contribution to normal energy metabolism. Preclinical data also suggest that the drug can modulate redox-responsive systems such as thioredoxin reductase and affect important metabolic enzymes such as GLUT1 and HK2.
A lesser known but exciting effect is the potential to support neuronal plasticity, as seen in cell models with increased dendrite and axon development. This may be relevant for future research on the health of the nervous system, but has not been confirmed in human studies.
